Cocoon records have reached their centennial release with a compilation titled “Cocoon 100”.
With their 100th release set to be out in September, Cocoon records was founded in 2000 by German producer Sven Vath, with their headquarters based in Frankfurt, and since has become a platform for young artists looking to make an impact on the electronic music scene.
Initially starting as a label intent on releasing compilations largely revolving around the “Techno” style of dance music, the label has since had notable artists such as Boys Noize, Minilogue and Cassy, raising their significance as a platform providing a supporting tool for young artists.
The compilation features unreleased tracks from Loco Dice, Lawrence and Dana Ruh, as well as a two disc CD to feature Legowelt, Gregor Tresher, Petar Dundoy and more.
With Cocoon staying true to their hearts year after year releasing techno tracks to resolute Techno fans, the record label doesn’t seem like stopping any time soon.
